April 2023 Programs

Storytime: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am

Join Miss Wendy for read alouds, singing, playing, dancing, and crafts! Tuesday and Thursday each week are the same theme. Reminder: If the Owego-Apalachin School District has a 2-hour delay, Storytime begins at 11am. 

 

Yoga: Tuesdays at 6:30pm

Grab your yoga mat and join yoga instructor Sheehan diMicheie Shotwell for an inspiring yoga practice each week.

 

Evening Book Club: Thursday, April 13 at 6:30pm

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier   

Place a hold for this book in the catalog (or come to the library and we can place a hold for you!). This Gothic 1930s novel is about a young woman who discovers that her new husband – and his household – are still haunted by the ghost of his first wife, Rebecca. The May read for the Evening Book Club will be Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt.

 

The Ollie and Nola Show: Saturday, April 15 at 10am

Join us for a special Saturday morning storytime with two certified therapy dogs, Ollie and Nola! There will be a dog-related craft, yummy snacks, and photo opportunities! No RSVP needed, all are welcome!

 

Afternoon Book Club: Thursday, April 20 at 1pm

The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave

Place a hold for this book in the catalog (or come to the library and we can place a hold for you!) or find it on Libby as an eBook. This mystery-thriller is about a woman searching for the truth about her husband’s disappearance after discovering a single note he left behind with two simple words: “Protect her.” The May read for the Afternoon Book Club will be The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie.

Belle's Library Tea Party

Saturday, April 22 at 11am

Join Miss Wendy for refreshments, crafts, and the gray stuff... it's delicious! This program is intended for children at least 3 years old and their accompanying adult. Space is limited! Please RSVP at 625-333 or at the library. 

Teen Open House

Thursday, April 27 from 5pm-7pm

Drop in anytime between 5pm and 7pm for pizza, snacks, and cookies; game stations; craft stations; and LOTS of prizes! RSVPs are recommended but not required.
